UPDATED - Rotten Rubio: Republican Implosion Continues
Courtesy of the mush-mouthed neo-con mouthpiece Allahpundit, Hot Air waxes poetic on the now lower than whale-shit Senator Rubio as he tries to justify his utter betrayal of the folks that put him in office:
"I have received numerous emails and calls from conservatives and tea party activists," he said at the beginning of his remarks.
"It's been a real trial for me," he confessed, before explaining: "I simply wasn't going to leave it to Democrats alone to try to figure out how to fix it."
"I got involved because I knew that if conservatives didn't get involved in shaping this legislation, it would not have any border security reforms our nation desperately needs," he said.
Rubio asked tea part conservatives who are upset to understand that he "honestly believes it is the right thing for our country."

Read the entire simpering and pathetic display HERE.
Priceless really. Simply priceless.
Dear Senator Rubio: you threw your hat in with a pack of Corporatists who saw this golden opportunity to "import" a legion of low-rent, low pay slave laborers - who'd be ineligible for the "Affordable" Health Care act. Yeah, the crony-capitalists - who represent the leadership of the right-wing Gentry caste - could not pass this opportunity by.
Naturally, any good shit-sandwich has a second bun: Enter the Demonrats, who saw a permanent twenty or so odd million votes they could rabble-rouse into electoral victory in nominally red-strongholds like Texas and Arizona. Oh wait they just care about the well-being of the poor-Hispanic worker yeah that would hold some water if it wasn't coming from the party that fought minority suffrage to, and nearly to, the point of civil war twice.
Ahh ain't Bipartisanship grand! But there is always a push-back
Now get your popcorn, and scroll down while we peruse the comments seems all is not unicorns and rainbows and skittles in Oz
He's our Judas..seriously...was it more than 30 pieces of silver that you got, Rubio?
- sadsushi on June 26, 2013 at 2:43 PMFully disqualifies him to go further in political office.
- vityas on June 26, 2013 at 2:46 PMFilthy lying POS.Seriously? How is pushing one of obama's/democrats top agenda priorities, AMNESTY for ILLEGALS, in any way the "right thing for OUR country?" Come on – not even Rubio believes anything he says.
- Pork-Chop on June 26, 2013 at 2:46 PMYep, if Judas get a primary challenger I will vote for them. If he survives the primary I will vote for the den, the one with the courage to standby his/her alleged principles. RINOs should be purged!
- Doomsday on June 26, 2013 at 2:47 PMPrimary the traitorous pig. He is obama's brother by another mother – h/t Vor Day.
- Schadenfreude on June 26, 2013 at 2:48 PMIt's called damage control. And it's too late. He's done irreparable harm to his reputation. I do hope he runs for President though just to see him get destroyed onstage at the debates.
- Doughboy on June 26, 2013 at 2:48 PMRubio keeps talking and we conservatives keep shaking our heads, upset that Rubio played us. I hope we get the last laugh and vote him out of office.
- Amjean on June 26, 2013 at 2:48 PMRubio is dead to me.
- cruadin on June 26, 2013 at 2:49 PMToo little too late. F*** the republicans forever.
- gophergirl on June 26, 2013 at 2:49 PMBecause he needs the power, the publicity to become the next Obama. No thanks. - Cindy Munford on June 26, 2013 at 2:50 PM
Well, then...He obviously couldn't come up with a better plan. This is like saying during a football game, "I scored a touchdown for the other team because I didn't think my team could win."
- Liam on June 26, 2013 at 2:52 PMHey Marco McCain – I want my campaign contribution back.
- beatcanvas on June 26, 2013 at 2:49 PMYou din't fix anything, you fool. You take a horrible, illegal situation and turn it into a horrible, legal situation. Congratulations, Senator! - Valkyriepundit on June 26, 2013 at 2:55 PM
Hang it up Rubio. Does DEAD MEAT mean anything to you?
- GarandFan on June 26, 2013 at 2:55 PMNewsflash: Traitors lie
- faraway on June 26, 2013 at 2:58 PMI in good conscience could never vote for you....what an embarrassment!
- ohiobabe on June 26, 2013 at 3:01 PMTranslation: I couldn't let the Dems sack and pillage America by themselves...I wanted some too!
- ToddPA on June 26, 2013 at 3:07 PMKeep hearing "desperaterly need reforms". Keep reading about the laws that aren't being enforced- often by Presidential directive. And so Rubio tried to play the base for fools. Guess we're all just dumba**, redneck, better clingers to him. Eat a hot bowl of defeat, Marco.
- M240H on June 26, 2013 at 3:10 PMHopefully the quisling will walk his pompous ass into a pizza parlor like Ben Nelson of Nebraska did and the patrons can yell: "Get him the hell out of here!"
- viking01 on June 26, 2013 at 3:20 PMIt should be a real trial for you ... a trial for treason.
- ThePrimordialOrderedPair on June 26, 2013 at 3:28 PMStalin on invasion and occupation: "I couldn't in good conscience leave Hitler alone to try to fix Europe." Rubio, you lying sack of crap, you have no conscience.
- VorDaj on June 26, 2013 at 3:38 PMIf I had a son and he was like Marco Rubioi, I would kill myself.
- Can-con on June 26, 2013 at 3:49 PMNothing like biting the hand that fed you and yours. One thing is certain. I'll never listen to anything Rubio and the republicans have to say...... like Barfy. 'Words... just words.'
- Cody1991 on June 26, 2013 at 4:02 PMRubio, your pitiful drivel on the Senate floor was pathetic. You are a Benedict Arnold and so are the Republicans playing us all for twits.
- Tripwhipper on June 26, 2013 at 4:06 PMThe Republicans think they can sell ice to an Eskimo.
- DFCtomm on June 26, 2013 at 4:10 PM
What you are witnessing constant readers, is the fragmentation and destruction of the Republican Party. It's dying. Right now. Live. In front of you. Good Riddance.
The RePubic base is tearing itself away from the elites at a startling rate, and the "Captains of Industry" at the helm could not be happier to be rid of them. This notion of course will end up as suicidal for the Neo-Cons as it was for the Whigs in the 1850's, but why bother worrying about that - sit back and enjoy the show as they rip themselves to bits.
Popcorn and a helping of schadenfreude are the only sane rebuttals to this madness.
Naturally, the barking moonbats will capitalize on the meltdown - to great effect - in 2014 and 2016. Hell, at this point, the loons probably even have a shot at the House of Representatives. If that becomes reality, their resulting overreaches coupled, with the fact that roughly 25% of the nation's population will have effectively ZERO representation, (with a side of looming economic disaster), ought to make for some highly riveting newscasts - from sea to shining sea.
Interesting times are coming indeed. We here at Deth H.Q. would like to say that Americans don't have it coming but honestly we'd be lying to you. We really are going to get the Government Civil War that we deserve.
Aaaaaaaand for the money quote:
"Let it burn. I am quite convinced that the Republican party needs to be destroyed faster. This destroying itself slow is bad for the nation."
- melle1228 on June 26, 2013 at 3:14 PM
Don't worry, the Republican party and the United States of America are going to collapse far more quickly than you realize, and far faster than you probably want.
Hows that pantry going constant readers? Perhaps a garden?
Update: Palin & Levin to start "Freedom" Party?
Courtesy of Jeff Poor of The Daily Caller, we have this little nugget:
"I love the name of that party — the 'Freedom Party,'" Palin said. "And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are going to start saying, 'You know, what's wrong with being independent,' kind of with that libertarian streak that much of us have. In other words, we want government to back off and not infringe upon our rights. I think there will be a lot of us who start saying 'GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in a one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation, either a Democrat or a Republican.' Remember these are private parties, and you know, no one forces us to be enlisted in either party."
- Sara Palin
