Here is a breakdown of the guild rules and benefits: |
Mission Statement:
It is the ambition of the DETH guild to be the perfect mercenaries. We are as ever changing as the wind. PKs, PKKs, assassins, bounty hunters, treasure hunters, trackers, body guards, we are all - for a price. No task is too grand or too pathetic - as long as their is profit to be made. |
Clan Motto: Vai Victus - Suffering To The Conquered.
This Latin phrase was screamed by the Roman centurions as they charged into battle. Historically, the Centurions were the mercenary backbone of the fearsome Roman legions, an unopposable force, and much of the DETH Guild's martial philosophy was based upon the code of these excellent sell-swords. |
Coat of Arms: Death's Head Bearing Scythe.
The official symbol of the DETH Guild is the scythe. This farming implement has long held connotations of death and pestilence, dating back as far as the middle ages during the Black Plague. It represents the vital elements of life being excised by death. We combine this symbol with the Death's Head logo, adding to the already menacing appearance of the design. Resembling a devil's skull, the Death's head logo represents the almost demonic nature of the guild's vengeance. Never is a slight forgotten, or a transgression allowed to go unpunished. |

Regulations: & Benifits:
1: We have a strict "do not fuck with other members" policy. What's this mean? It's very simple really. It means, if you are doing something that is pissing other member(s) off, (providing it is something they could reasonably get upset over), you need to stop the second they inform you that your actions are yanking their chain. If you do not cease when asked, once the Admin or Great Hunters find out about it, your ass is gone.
2: Help any member of the DETH guild you meet. Odds are other members have helped you, either through free gear, muling, power leveling, etc, all we ask is that your return the same things you were given.
3: You can choose any handle you wish for your name, and we are not going to be "thought nazies." However, it's STRONGLY suggesting you use some common sense - if you call yourself "bloody cum bubble" you are not likely to get many groups...
4: As a guild member, you are entitled to a vote upon any future changes or amendments to the rules. Any rules or regulations change will be followed by an e-mail. Each member can vote for or against the regulation. If those opposed outweigh those voting for it, the rule will be scrapped. You must reply to the e-mail no later than TWO days after the sending of the mailer to have your vote count. A tie will result in a revote 1 day later.
5: Members are added to the mailer, filled with important guild news, events, and programs.
6: The Great Hunters are the chief administrators of the DETH Guild. They are in charge of much of the day-to-day organization and planning. The great hunters are the most prominent signs of the guild's power, and as such, MUST be highly visible, professional gamers. (I.E. playing any of our sanctioned games ALOT). The position itself, is determined by popular election, as the masses of the guild determine who will lead them. Of those that make the pre-requisites, the top four in the polls will be given the position of Great Hunter. Once elected, the Great Hunters will hold their position for 4 months, or until removed. Should they become inactive, a majoriy vote of the members can expell them from their position. After their term is over, the Great Hunters will leave office, and a new election will be held. A former Great Hunter may run again if he wishes. During election time, we will allow candidates to post a total of SIX messages on the Forum, using any colors, graphics, slogans, or mottos they are capable of displaying. Canadites may send out a total of TWO mass mailings, detailing their views, stands on issues, etc. Use them tactically, but SPAMING IS NOT PERMITTED, under threat of removal from the running.
The pre-recs the Administrators will consider when choosing who will run are:
- You must have displayed a tendency toward level headed decisions, even when under duress.
- You must NOT have a habit of bossing others around, abusing authority, and generally pissing others off.
- You must be an active member, frequently attenting guild events, and meetings, as well as having been a member of the guild for at LEAST 6 months prior to running.
- You MUST be visible in at least ONE of the guild sanctioned games, playing frequently, organizing events, and helping members.
7: The Administrators will choose a guild member to be placed in charge of the mailer, a weekly publication that will include tips, quotes, status reports, hardware recomendations, bounties, and anything else guild related. We will choose this person based upon his dedication, maturity, and his ability to consistently deliver the mailer on a weekly basis. |

Recruitment:
In order to join the Deth Guild as a full time member, a petitioner must be sponsored by a current member. The rectuitee will be allowed to post on the web boards, play with the other members, and participate in all guild activities with the exception of voting. It will be the responsibility of the sponsor to help the petitioner transition into the guild. The probationary period is one month, after which time, the current members will hold a vote to see if the new recruite can graduate to full membership status. |
